Medallion Housing Society is a non profit organization dedicated to the much needed task of working in partnership with the real estate community and other related sectors to provide developmental assistance and educational programs which will promote and strengthen home ownership opportunities for low income first-time buyers with particular regard for single parent families.

Medallion stands firm in its belief that that home ownership is integral to family well-being and is the foundation upon which the families of today will thrive and a legacy will be built for ongoing generations.

Join us and aid Medallion in its goal to promote, facilitate, fund, and carry out activities that are beneficial to the whole community in a way the law regards as charitable by creating opportunities for low income earners and those with special needs to become home owners

Buried Heart's first beneficiary will be the Via Nova Transition Society, a foundation set up to establish and sustain a four-bed residential detoxification and transition facility for women on the Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

The facility will provide addictions counselling, peer support, medical care, and follow-up programs to help women develop new living patterns.

By helping residents to overcome poverty, Via Nova hopes to address the root cause that prevents many women from breaking the habitual cycle of substance abuse and its inherent lifestyle.
